Well, my older brother is gay/bi and ever since I've told my friends they make fun of him and they pretend to be afraid to sleep over. I know they're just kidding but it has to stop. How do I deal?

Family should always be first so if they are going to make fun of him and it bothers you tell them if that doesn't get them to stop then they really aren't your friends are they............ if he is gay thats his choice they shouldn't make fun of him for it.

Tell them whether they are joking or not it is offensive to you and your family. Tell them they need to stop or they are no longer welcome to come over and they cant be true friends. Do they get picked on for being straight? Probably not. So why pick on another for being gay and/or bi. Besides, if your bro is gay, he wouldnt have an iterest in them anyways. Tell ur friends to save the drama for high school.

Just tell them!!! Don't be afraid to say that you don't like them making fun of your brother but try not to sound mean or aggressive about it either.

1] tell your friends they are being rude, and you don't like it.
You love your brother, and you support him.
2] leave the group or situation when it occurs. Consistently. They will get the message.
PS: you may loose some friends in the process - sorry.

The bastards....say it straight, 'You homophobic bastards - if you were gay or bi, I'd support you so stop making a big deal about my brother being bi!'

Its so sad that people any age need to judge a person before they speak to them.I think your friends aren,t really your friends if they can,t accept your brother for the way he is.As long as you support and love him thats all that should matter.

Tell them to stop! hes ur brother and obvisiouly this is a confusing and hurtful time in hie life where he doesnt need the extra baggage of ur *friends* calling him out on his sexuality just be like " guys come on lay off him, please?" if they're good friends they'll listen good luck! ;)

I agree... it is rude and at the same time they are disrespecting you. My advice would be to make your feelings clear to your friends, so that they know how you feel and how much it bothers you when they make those comments.

tell them that you find it offencive and that it upsets you. tell them they don't need to worry about staying in your house as you wouldn't invite someone with such little respect for you brother to stay in his home.
