I was diagnosed with the same. I am currently taking clomid, metformin, and celestin combined. LAst month was my first experience with clomid. I did ovulate, but I did not concieve. I am hoping it takes effect this month. I had too much going on and was not able to BD too often. :) Take clomid, and metformin, chart your temps to make sure you are ovulating. relax and have plenty of sex. :)

I have PCOS too, we have been ttc on our own for a long while but no luck. Just this month I started 50mg clomid. I read abt metformin and asked the doc to put me on tht too, she wanted to wait to see what my progesterone levels were on day 21,which was yesterday and level was great an 11 and I ovulated.. They told me if I miss my period to call immt to take preg test, if I do get it I will start clomid 50mg again for dec. Fingers crossed. Some tips I have learned to help conceive, keep plenty if FIBAR in ur diet, I use the powder everyday, stay away from a lot of carbs, eat a lil bit of yams everyday, don't smoke and exercise at least 3 times a week. Best of luck to u!!!

I have been ttc #1 for a year. The same day I found out I had pcos the dr prescribed metformin, which is a diabetes drug but it also can help women with their cycles. It didnt make me ovulate so I was put on clomid as well. I pay $30 for ten clomid tablets here in australia. My dr makes me have a blood test on days 14 and 21 to check to see if I ovulated or not. **Good luck!**

Yes I know exactly how you feel. Altho I have not been trying as long as you. But it WILL happen. I've used clomid 50mg this month for the first time. I have mild pcos. I believe the clomid is really gonna help. For 5 pills it cost me only $10. I know for some pplz it costs much more than that. I heard metformin works well along with clomid. You might wanna ask your dr. what he/she thinks. Good luck and baby dust to you!

Bah. I think I have PCOS too and just awaiting diagnosis.
I heard combined treatment with Clomid+Metformin works slightly better than just purely Clomid or Metformin.
Hope you get some good answers here. Good luck.
