There are only three types of rock - igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary. And technically, both are made up of rock that was originally igneous as well (since metamorphic is just further "cooked" and sedimentary is just ground up particles of any other rock glued together).

sheet rocks (sometimes folded, particularly
after major earthquakes)

bigger rocks
great big rocks
rocks that won't crack (difficult to locate,
even hrder to break into small )

If you are a structural geologist, you can also add fault rocks. These are rocks that are deformed in association with faulting (mylonites, cataclasites).
But there are only 3 official types. Igneous, Sedimentary, and metamorphic.
