I've heard of people slipping down the stairs. With slippers because they were slippery

A real story:
He was a student in the final and fifth year of his graduation to become a doctor for medicine and surgery. he was the darling of the college by virtue of his qualities and was elected as Chief of students body both for college and the hostel! Academically too, he did well to come within first five ranks in score for the college!
He has finished almost all the exams and left with only two papers on project to complete, he went to have a bath in the public pond, outside the college with some friends. The time they all reached the pond, it was a bit dark and he went early than others to have quick swim, but slipped from the stirs due to weeds and his back of the head hit the rocky stair, making him loose consciousness and he slipped deep into the water!
The friends, three of them rushed to save him. But they took him out in a unconscious coma state. He was in the hospital intensive care unit for eleven days in coma. The whole of the college prayed for his recovery. It was so pathetic to see all the friends and relatives of him praying day in day out, right in the hospital itself!
But God decided otherwise and he breathed last on the 12 th day and for his funeral, the whole college of students, staffs,workers plus all the doctors and staffs of the General Hospital turned up to bid farewell to this remarkable man!
I could never forget this in life when I see any pond or a swimming pool, where I never venture into, even to have a close look!

I fell so hard down a whole flight of like 15 steps going down into the basement of my boyfriends house....he was outside and his mom heard me fall and came running, by the time she got there I was at the bottom and thought I had broken my leg, I couldn't stand up for about 3 or 4 minutes! I am lucky I didn't break any bones! I woke up the next morning and I had pulled muscles in my neck, back, thighs, and shoulders, and arms... I was in so much pain......
I had horrible black, blue, and maroon looking bruises all down my butt and thighs for two weeks....
I am lucky I didn't seriously hurt myself...I don't wear my slippers when we go to their house anymore! It is dangerous on their steps!

Yes. When my son was about 6 months old I tripped down the stairs while I was holding him. Thankfully, I was able to hold him up and I rode down on my back. My husband laughed his butt off after he made sure we were both ok.

Sweety, I trip on anything and with anything. Slippers, shoes, high heels, hallways, rugs, kitchen floors, expensive restaruants there is no where I haven't gone where I haven't fallen.
It's a Martinez tradition, my mom has fallen all over the united states!

I haved specially when I was trying to emitate the grudge when shes going down the stairs people didnt stop laughting about that for amonth now

YES I trip down AND up the stairs despite what I'm wearing on my feet...it's becoming a hobby of mine... lol
