Swings and roundabouts - do you think pupils sometimes treat teachers unfairly? I do believe, rightly or wrongly, that some teachers like teaching certain kids - kids that show they are trying even if they are not brilliant.

If you do a bit of the reproduction system at school, that could represent a bad day.So as pupils, don,t forget teachers are human and have bad hair days, and with mans need to be social,we don,t like everyone, just like some have a favourite teacher, its called life.

I think sometimes they do. There is the Halo or Horns problem - Once a kid is known to be bad or good they tend to be treated as though they are always being bad or good. So the "good" kids might actually get away with being bad and the "bad" kids have any kind of behaviour interpreted as being bad.

Give teachers a break though they're only(underpaid and overworked) humans you know.

Yes i do, and I used to get very angry, but now I want to be a teacher, and i look at the young new teachers that teach me right know ( grade 12) and i kindof have to give them a break, I mean classes are so disrespectful, they've got a nad ful, and I 'm sure they arn't doing it on purpose, maybe they just feel the need to be accepted, I mean they're are people too

My honest opinion as a very experienced (and now retired teacher) is that the vast majority of teachers with whom I have worked did their level best to be fair at all times to all children. In fact, if the children in our classes tried to be as fair to their teachers as we try to be to them, it may be that you would not need to ask this question. During my time in schools I have been sworn at, hit on several occasions with chairs (either wielded or thrown) lied about and accused of assault and, the worse case, severely beaten up by a year six boy, taller than me, causing injury which needed medical and physiotherapy treatment. If sometimes we appear to be unfair it may be that you should ask yourself, "Why is my teacher behaving like this?" Teachers are human, 99% of them work far harder than you ever will (unless you become one) putting in hours of unpaid overtime planning and marking.
So, while an honest answer to your question is "Yes" it is rare and probably justified.

Speaking for myself, and all the teachers I know and work with, no. Quite the opposite in fact - we go out of our way to ensure that all pupils are treated fairly.

Yes I do and sometimes it's not fair. I honestly think that all students should be treated the same. I can see if a kid needs some extra help, but other than that, it should be equal.

No, the students need to learn what respect is.

When I was at school, if you did wrong then you copped for some flack and paid for your own stupidity.

It is students that don't like being put in their place that complain bitterly where the golden rule is if you cant take your punishment, don't do the crime.

you have to remember that teachers are humans too, and we make mistakes too, but in my experience (I am a teacher) I have not yet met a teacher who is unfair to pupils, we do try our best...but it could happen.
