I will not vote in the primaries because I would have to pick a party and I don't fit in either party. I will vote in the general election. If I was to pick a candidate as of now, I would pick Sen Obama. I think that he is less affected by the politics of the past. We need someone that is willing to forget about the parties and only work toward solutions. We also have to have someone bring back the integrety of the country in the eyes of the world and our own citizens. I am concerned that he is being pushed by professional politicians to do thing that are business as usual. Plus I am not sure that he will be nominated. (If it is Hillary and Rudy, I will work hard for a 3rd party candidate. )

Yes I am voting next year. I am a registered Independent. At this point I don't know WHO I will vote for, but I know which party. My major concern, is in the protection of the United States, it's people, as well as it's culture. I, along with 80% of America want the influx of illegal immigrants stopped. The wall strengthened, and a military that will keep terrorist nations hesitant to attack us again. Therefore I have NO choice but to vote Republican.

Yes I am voting. I'm an American for Peace and will vote for the presidential candidate that will stop the war, work on the economy, support our veterans and education for starters. I hope to hell we get a choice that will move us forward from the nightmare leadership of GWB.

i am voting. At the moment, I'm voting for Barack Obama. reason being: he's sincere, he's done well for Illinois and i think he can do well for the United States, he's the least shady of all the candidates, he's honest, and he wants the government to be run by the people again.

flaws i find in the other candidates:

Hillary-too motherly, wouldn't make a good leader, not because she's a woman, but because she's more of a mother and she's flip-flopped on many topics.

Edwards- Doesn't answer the questions right away which lead me to believe that he has something to hide.

Kucinich- He doesn't have the commanding presence a leader should have

Dodd- he's my second choice, but he's kind of on the fence sometimes, and sometimes tells people what they want to hear ignoring the truth

Richardson- Too selfish, in one of the debates that i watched, all he said was "i this, i that, me me me." i don't want a president that rests on his laurels.

Biden- he's that guy in the back that hasn't made an impression, just one of the crowd

Republican candidates- They haven't held any big debates, haven't made any effort to connect with the people, i don't know anything about them so therefore they're out.

Yes
In March I will be voting for Ron Paul.
In November I will vote for the Republican candidate for President and the Libertarian candidates for all other positions.

Because freedom equals prosperity and even guilianni would be marginally better than a democrat.

Yes of course. I will be picking Dr. Ron Paul, because I have never seen an honest politician before and he intrigues me. He also has a lot of writings that often make a lot of sense, even if they seem strange at first, when you see the big picture, you will know what I'm speaking of. We are so used to sleazy politicians that we think it's normal now, isn't that crazy?

to the poster above me, yes, I like Kucinich as well, I don't like his policies, but I would vote for him over many others.

I'm voting, and my vote will be cast for whoever will be the strongest supporter of my constitutional rights. Also, this person must have the grit to deal with the illegal immigration problem, preferably by deporting all the illegals and sealing the borders.

You bet. If you don't vote, you don't have any right to complain when things suck.

I'll vote for whomever annoys me the least. So far, Hillary's got a snowballs' chance in h*ll of getting my vote.

That's for sure, unless some catastrophe keeps me away.

Kris L: You want to know more about Giuliani? Here are some facts: Giuliani is arrogant, a bully, bigoted, ill tempered and a womanizer. He divorced his 2nd wife, Donna Hanover, by announcing it at a press conference instead of telling her in person first. He was having an affair with an aide while living at Gracie Mansion & while still married and mayor of NYC while taking credit for all the good things that were done by others in “the city”. He fired William Bratton; the police commissioner in 1994 when he found out he made the cover of Time magazine because he (Giuliani) wanted to take the credit for the innovative crime fighting. Then he hired Kerik, and you know how that’s turned out.

I lived in NY during Giuliani’s dictatorship, and believe me; I would not want him as president. His character is far worse than Bush & Clinton's worse faults rolled into one, if you can believe that's possible. Even his own kids don’t talk to him, now, what does that tell you? His name should be Mussoliani as he governs by spreading fear.

As for 9/11…. he’s no hero, he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. The real heroes of 9/11 were the NYC firefighters & police plus all the other rescue workers from the surrounding tri-state areas who voluntarily came to pitch in & help us. However, he has no problem exploiting 9/11 with photo ops & speeches that have netted him millions and has allowed him to be a front-runner for the presidency.

It has also been recently discovered that he had mob ties & that his father was a convicted felon. Furthermore, when he was prosecutor in NY, all his convictions were overturned. Why is that? I’m sure as time goes by more skeletons will come out of his closet.
