That is a huge advance, I find the amount hard to believe. I have read books about the Kennedys, so I will read this one if it has good reviews. He has never talked about his personal and political life, so it could be interesting. He will have some dramatic incidents to talk about including Chappiquidik, how he felt when his brothers and nephews were killed, how he handled his own and his wife's alcoholism, his son's addictions, and how he managed to have a good career in the Senate all those years. I disagree with the poster above who says Kennedy has burned out his brain. I have seen him on tv recently, and he is very articulate.

I love to read, and have always enjoyed reading biographies about people I admired, respected or found interesting. But I can't think of any reason why I would want to read Ted Kennedy's memoirs. I'll pass.

What a Bastard.... I can see why so many people hate a guy that has fought for the middle class for some many years!!!

So how much is Trent Lott going to make by being a lobbyist?
I'm sure it will be pale in comparison to his Brother He got 1.5 Billion in stock options to run a hospital chain.

I detest the man, but I might be interested in parts of the book to see how he defends himself. I'd like to know his stand on being born into privilege, getting thrown out of college, Mary Jo Kopechne, and his desire for a Socialist government.

Well, there's a publisher that just got SCREWED!!!!

I have no intention of reading any lies this idiot has to pass on.

I'm wondering how it could even be written? His dexterity has to be shot, and I doubt a ghost writer would be able to understand his intoxicated slurr. Plus, don't you actually have to HAVE memories to write memoirs? He's killed way too many brain cells to have any memories left!!

This is just another example of how a controversial person is able to cash in on his errors of judgment and past scurrilous history. I wouldn't waste one red cent to read his lies and excuses for his mistakes. His life and its history is nothing more than a travesty.
