Lucky family.
I grew up in a family of nine kids. I know it's less than 12, but a lot of siblings makes for a better childhood. You're never alone. There's always someone there for you - to play with, to help you out, to blame, to blame you, to share the workload, to look out for you. I wouldn't trade that for anything.

P.S. With the increased workload in running a large household, we all shared work and learned to share, to work hard, and to behave responsibly. My parents never had to yell at us, we were never extremely noisy, and I never saw (or heard) my parents fight - not even argue. Home was a wonderful peaceful place to be. I hope someday my house can be so nice - even if I don't have as many kids.

Im a family of 10 well 6 technically, 4 of them are my halfs and they moved out.
And if i heard there was 12 kids moving into my neighborhood i think it would be cool since theres no kids in my neighborhood, just a bunch of old people.

I absolutely adore kids i am an aunt of 3 and a couple weeks ago we met a new family that had 8 kids and my nieces and nephew absolutely loved it. I knew my nieces and nephews would enjoy their summer with the new kids on the block so my first thought was "finally something for them to do in the summer besides wanting to go to the park everyday"

I'd be happy. I'd probably say "YES! Someone else with a large family!" (There are only 10 kids in our family.)

P.S. To everyone who thinks its chaos, its actually not, if the parents are responsible and the kids are cooperative. We have plenty of quiet time in our family, it rarely gets loud, and that's just more kids to do your yard work for you for free, because of church projects and the like. And the mother's usually had twelve kids cause they wanted them, not because they didn't know about birth control or were irresponsible.

"That they are possibly Mormons or Irish Catholics..."

"Multiply like rabbits" comes to mind....

"Holy Cow!...That's a lot of kids!"

"Maybe we can finally start a neighborhood baseball team!"

"How many bedrooms is their home? Are they living like sardines?"

"That poor wife must have her hands full, Maybe she needs a babysitter!"

"I hope they move before they all become teenagers with lots of friends with so many cars.... leaving no one else in the neighborhood anywhere to park!"

Is that true? Is a 14 person family moving to your neighborhood?? WOW!

I'm with you on this one, it would be awesome. I grew up in a money poor family of 6 kids, and my father had 16 brothers and sisters. But we were rich in love and respect. 12 kids would be like instant new friends!

possibly they have observed or are foster mothers and dads to a pair young little ones - that's amazingly unselfish! If all the little ones are theirs, i could think of "greater value-effective by employing the dozen!" and be chuffed for the couple that they are fertile and able to have sufficient like to choose a brilliant kin. generally greater desirable families ought to be slightly greater prepared so as that issues get accomplished, so i could assume that the little ones does no longer be hell raisers, yet could be popular to sturdy young little ones. so a ways as for somebody of their pre to teenager years, yep - looking a pair of sturdy friends could be probable possibly interior a set of an incredible variety of little ones. no longer lots liklihood of any babysitting jobs, yet an incredible danger to make new friends. provide them a sturdy welcome - deliver over a cassarole dish or some pizza or something to offer them a delightful hi to the community! 112707 a million:10

I would wonder why in the world anyone had 12 kids as there are no farms in the area and feel extreme sympathy for the poor woman who had them all and wonder if they were Mormon.

Crowded families are not well managed! More of kids is more of everything in uncontrolled manner and behavior and sometimes violent and quarrelsome! Very very rarely we see disciplined, orderly kids in big families! My first thought would be how soon I could vacate for better neighborhood (which we thought of earlier but did postpone!)to keep my kids good and well mannered!
