Summer Storm

The gray sky darkens
Silver leaves upturning
Crashing, pounding, now resounding
Flashing, singeing, nature cringing
Torrential floods begin
Thirsty earth drinks in moisture
Harder still the rain it lashes
Suddenly the lightning flashes
And a large limb breaks and crashes
Dying as the storm now gone.

No, it was written in the sudden and violent storms of the early summer which sent flood downstream as it caused accidents on our roads from downed trees and limbs. Rhio, do you read or only work on what's in your head?

Your world is incredibly small if you cannot picture other areas that had torrential rains and flash floods unlike your dry summer. You skim shallow puddles and think yourself deeply spiritual. SAD.

It is rather unclear whether you are just describing a storm or there is some underlying message you are trying to convey to mankind at large.
I guess it is not just art for art's sake kind of effort. Storms flash and crash all the time, but are you suggesting? If there is no deep comment then something is amiss!
Consider singeing. I hope it refers to roasting! upturning? consider that too.
Generally a nice short poem.

This must have been written before global warming and the droughts of the great southeastern United States, right?
