It won't happen varejao is a joke, demanding a sign and trade is his dumb they went to finals last year (on lebron's back) none wants him I don't understand how he even made it on cleveland's roster in the first place

he could go to pretty much any team that would be interested in him. he is hoping that cleveland does a sign and trade, which they really should at this point to improve their chances this year. he's a little overrated and they'll probably be able to get a better player back out of the deal.

to answer your question, i'm not sure phoenix would happen. varejao wants a good deal, let's say 6-7 million per year. after the suns' starters, they aren't very deep and don't have a suitable player to fit such a trade salary-wise.

I think it is stupid of Andy not to sign with Cavs. There is just no way that he will shine as bright as he did in Cleveland.
He grew with Cavs, he is compatible with them. He has a real shot at title this year, or maybe next year, - with the CAVS!

On the other hand Danny Ferry shouldn't have kept this problem stretching for as long as it did, and now Andy declares that he won't play for Cleveland at all...

They are both dumb. I hope that Cavs' fans won't suffer because of this.

Tonight we will see how badly Cavs need Varejao.

he'll be a restricted free agent next season, meaning the Cavaliers have the right to match any offers. that would make any team wary in tendering him an offer sheet. but he is willing to do a sign-and-trade provided the Cavs could find a trading partner. he'll most likely play in Europe this season and wait out the 1 year.

danny ferry screwed this one up. andy was willing to accept a 1 year contract extension with less money.

danny ferry has to do somethign to keep lebron in cleveland. ok if u keep the same team & not do anything to improve the team will fall by the wayside. the atlanta hawks have more talent than the cavs. seriously. they have to make a move if nt up in the draft but soemwhere. everyone in the east is getting better & the cavs think that lebron can somehow save them. nt going to happen. jordan didn't win any of his rings w/out scotty. lebron doesn't even have a horace grant!!!!
