There are several places to stay that allow pets but really not many things that you can do with a dog or places you can go where it is publically accepted (unless of course it's a training dog for blind or similar).

You might try doing a websearch using the words activities, FL, dogs
or similar to find ideas of what can be done.

Orlando would be the best palce to go for activities for you and your dog. I know at least 1 (I think the royal pacific) of the 3 hotels on Universal accepts dogs, they even have activites for them, check with the resort to see. Check with the Disney resort too. Also there are many dog care centers in Orlando that look better than most childcare places. So your dog will be well taken care of if you deceide to go site seeing. The parks also offer kennel service for the day. Email me if you want any further info on the dog care centers around the area.

If you are interested in Orlando where the big theme parks are ...

Of course, a park is not a dog-friendly place, but I know that Disney has a kennel on-site that you are welcome to come and visit your dog during the day, rather than leave the dog in the hotel all day. Just an idea you might not have thought of!

That depends on where you go in Florida. We have 2 sets of neighbors that go every year. Each family takes their dog with them. Surely you weren't thinking of boarding the dog, were you?

Good luck, there are dog parks, motels let them in, with a fee. You'll have to pay for damages. Own two, no longer travel with them. Your tied to them, no barking, not allowed on beach, etc.
