Leaving the issues aside, and even if you agree with him on everything, and think he is a god among men who will save the penguins, polar bears, and Eskimos..... whatever.

Why would you want someone to be president, who does not want to be president?

Please do not compare him to George Washington, that was a WAAAAAY different situation.

Seriously, answer my question, why are there people who want him to be president if he doesn't even want that.

For the record, I don't agree with him, politically.

Maybe the fact that he doesn't want to be president is part of the attraction. Every day we hear the current candidates going on and on, spewing empty promises and throwing mud, hoping that if they talk enough, people will hear something they like and vote for them.

Plus, it's a sh!%%y job when you really look at it. Incredibly low pay when compared to CEOs, a lack of privacy so intense that you would hesitate to even send an email to your kids, constant insults raining down on you no matter what you do, and when you are on vacation you probably only work a few less hours per day. Plus, look at pictures of every president on inauguration day and compare it to when they leave office. You would think the paint fumes in the White House actually cause bags to develop under one's eyes.

Anyone who signs up for that, on some level, be a little bit crazy. Maybe that should be the first criteria in picking a president.

Voter: 'Do you WANT this job?'

Candidate: 'Yes... i think i co...'

Voter: 'NEXT!'

I wasn't in politics enough back in 2000 to know what his positions were, nor do I know what they'd be now.

But he won the popular vote, so some people must have liked him.

If he runs as vice for Hillary if she gets the Dem ticket, I will take a nice, long hot shower just to spite him.

Because people want to live in a fantasy land where they can pretend there is no war, terrorism, poverty or hunger, and the biggest problems are how to offset our carbon emissions and save the whales. Of course, most of the people who campaigned for him are rich celebrities who already live in such a world, paying poor schmucks to plant trees for them to offset their giant mansions and gas guzzling Hummer Limos.

Because Karl Marx is dead. There are few commie leaders that admit to their true identity, but Al is one of them.
