I don't understand this. Why do people cheat when they have a good thing? why do people say that "he won't leave his wife/girlfriend/boyfriend for you"? If he is with me, then he have "left" his wife?

men claim to cheat because of lack of sex or exitement, women cheat because of lack of emotional support or financial issues. to them it doesn't matter if they have a good thing or not, if they are lacking that one little thing, they go else where instead of trying to work it out. Thats how feelings get hurt, thats how diseases gets spread. Its really sad.

People don't just "say" that they won't leave, they don't leave. If he is with you, does he stay with you? Does he openly offer you his last name? Does he offer to add you to his bank accounts and property titles? Wake up, even if the cheating person has "feelings" for the other woman/man, that spouse is a coward, because they couldn't resolve their marital problems without involving a third person! Sometimes men/women will cheat to get caught to end the marriage-how sad is that?
I cheated because I was selfish, I believed that I 'deserved' to be "happy", and I was entitled to do whatever it takes to be 'happy' in my life-without thinking of my children, my parents, my friends, my husband or anyone else.
If you are the "other" in that relationship, he cheats because you have such low self esteem you are willing to accept less than 1/2 of what a real relationship is, you take the leftovers and act like you have the choice morsels of life with that person. Basically, you are self deceiving, and he doesn't have to do too much besides show up when he can, and for whatever reason, you accept that from this person.
It is selfishness and self deception combined with immaturity, no matter which side you are on in the situation.

People still cheat, even when they have a good thing. They are just trying to get more sex, or excitment, or experience on the side than they are getting from their significant other. And people do get called on it and maybe then they are forced to leave or choose to leave. People break up all the time, married or not. Fifty percent divorce rate... so I guess it is a possibility to hook up with a cheater and steal someone else's love if that's what you are striving for.

To use a food analogy - no matter how much you might love sushi, sometimes you still get a craving for a Taco Bell. But just because you sneak a quesadilla once every blue moon, doesn't make you love sushi any less.

There are many reasons. Some times the relationship just does not provide something that is needed desperately. Other times it is an inadequacy in the person cheating, an inability to commit, security issues any number of psychological reasons

People cheat for all types of reasons. I don't believe cheating is fair and I think infidelity is a sin.. but different people do it for different reasons. Rather then communicate with their spouse and work on the marriage, some seek sexual romance in other places. Some aren't sexually satisfied by their spouse so they go out and seek to get it elsewhere. And, there are tons of other reasons.

It means they won't divorce their wife to be with you. Men cheat so they can "have their cake and eat it too"
A guy wants you to be there for a quick lay but will go home to his wife every night.

People cheat because they want the thrill of something new with the stability of the person who's waiting at home. It's a very selfish thing.

Sometimes people don't know how good a thing they have until they almost lose it. Statistics show the unfaithful usually return to their mate; they chose that person for reasons only they will know and have a bond that is hard to penetrate.
