His office is connected to mine, and he keeps the door open, and he plays his music quite loudly (he is a band teacher, so he usually is listening to the band's music to evaluate it). I would really like to just go in there and SHUT THE DOOR but I can't.

Remind her again that you asked her to keep the volume down, as you find the music distracting. You could also suggest (to her or directly to your boss) that she wear headphones when she's not assisting customers, so that her music won't bother clients.

wrong: bring a subwoofer with 2 other speakers and blast some metallica/rap/disco or whatever he doesn't like.
