Because then they might have to actually pull out of Afghanistan and end the so-called "War on Terror". They need to continue baiting the country with the idea of going after him as the main excuse for us being over in the middle east. The truth is, America needs to establish a presence in the middle east to keep an eye on our own interests and to keep those countries from stirring it up amongst one another. Let them have us as their common enemy I guess.

If I'm not mistaken, the Democrats have too. He was around before the Bush Administration entered the White House. I'm not defending Republicans, but let's keep things balanced here. One group is not responisble for all the world's woes.
I believe HuggieSunrise is referring to the reports that Bin Laden died of typhoid fever in August. These reports are unsubstatiated. However, CNN reported in September 2006 that he was suffering from a water-born illness.

Because Bush and the Bin Laden's are best friends. The day of 911 while all planes were grounded, Bush authorized the ONLY plane to take off and that was to get the Bin Laden family the heck out of the U.S so they would be protected.

Well now you're getting a bit repetative.
But to answer your question, it's because Bin Laden IS a Republican!!!1!!11 It was actually George Bush flying plane that hit the north tower!!!1 Al Gore tried to warn them, but they couldn't hear him over their own meniacal laughter!
Only Hillary can save us now!! Jon Stewart and Carlos Mencia were right!!!!!11!!!!1!

Because Republicans need a monster to keep the sheep in line. A dead or captured Osama bin Laden would not be nearly as scary.

Here is a question within a question----------
Why could we find Saddam Hussein in a freakin' hole in the ground, but we can't find Osama Bin Laden who stands 6 feet something---head and shoulders above the rest.........?

I've always had this crazy idea that Osama is just a fictional character made up by our government to give US citizens someone to focus hatred on. How nuts would it be if this were true?

Because it's really, really, really, really hard to find a guy hiding somewhere in an ungoverned mountainous region of the world and trying not to be found.
Example: Steve Fossett, the millionaire whose plane crashed out West in the States, was not found, even with satellites and all kinds of hoohaa. That's in a known area, in our own country, with a big old airplane-sized target somewhere in the desert.

Because once he's caught, the fact that the CIA trained him and gave him money to found his terrorist organization back in afghanistan in the 1980's would all become known by all and the Americans would be pissed.

Killing him was much easier and cheaper than a trial where a liberal judge would let him off, give him a reason to sue the government and all government contractors and allow him to stay in the United States under the Liberal amnesty program providing him free health care and paying for his housing, food, and heating cost.
