Only if I'm the only one being called whatever the pet name is.
My guy has been calling me sugar as we say our good byes on the phone. Then I heard him on the phone with his sister, he was calling her to let her know we were about 30 minutes away from being at her house on Thanksgiving. And he said, "Okay, we'll see you in a bit, sugar"
I realized I wasn't special, that he calls everyone sugar. Kind of a nice little kick to the heart.

Sure as long as its from someone I love, like my parents or boyfriend. I hate it when someone I don't know calls me baby!
Recently I caught my brother calling everyone Honey, I told him I heard him say it one more time I'd smack him in the face, I heard him say it once after that, then never again!

I once dated this very sweet vietnamese boy. He always called me Baby, and we dated for several years. He still does it when he calls me.
But I was thinking about it.. I have a VERY difficult name to pronouce.. so I wonder if he just couldnt say my real name?

I absolutely HATE it when old, wrinkled up men call me pet names, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when hubby does it!

my husband and I call each other baby. Thats how i know when he is irritated with me. he calls me by name instead. I dont mind baby. its habit now
