My phone fell in the toilet. I shook the water out, left the battery out for a couple days. don't turn it on though, it will short the system most likely.
My phone works fine now, except sometimes the "3" key sticks a bit. It's a RAZR.

If it was clean, I would suggest just letting it airdry and not bothering with "cleaning" at all. It will just make the situation worse

Hopefully you took the battery out right away. Take the phone apart as much as possible. Just let it dry naturally and don't try to heat it to dry it off. I know someone who did this and it worked after about a month of drying off. It worked perfectly too. Too bad he had to buy another phone because he thought it was gone for good.

you should take the battery out and let it dry out, if its a att or tmobile phone you should take the sim card out as well and let it dry. after that there's not much you can do. if it doesn't work then you should try to get it fixed somewhere or get a new one. as far as cleaning it you should use clean water and a cutip. just clean what you can and don't touch any of the stuff that looks important unless you know it doesn't do anything.

I know of people who removed their battery from the back of the phone and let the phone and battery sit out for a good day or soo...Try that. There phones worked and it was dropped in a pool.

i don't know about cleaning it...but especially if you don't have insurance on it...you need to take it apart and dry it pronto with a blowdryer....there's this thing inside that once it gets wet it changes color, so if this has happened and you take it back and don't tell them what happened just that it isn't working...they'll know that your lying...and you won't get another phone that is if you have insurance. i know you didn't ask all this, but it's important...if you can't get it dried out..and working again, and have insurance, your best bet is to say it was stolen...and you should get another one free...
