Contraceptives, whether it be the depo provera shot or the birth control pill, are only 99% effective.

So the pill is as effective as depo, which is 99%.

The pill is very effective in preventing pregnancy, so he will be able to 'you know what' inside of you no prob. I've been on the pill for 8 years and have done just fine with no weight gain at all, AND no pregnancy. You might have some nausea at first with the pill, but that will go away. good luck!

As long as you are taking the pill correctly you wont get pregnant... however keep in mind that like the shot the pill is NOT 100% effective and you have a small chance of getting pregnant... my sister in law took the pill by the book and still got pregnant.. just keep that in mind

It's the same with the pill but make sure you've been on the pill for at least two weeks and that you aren't taking any kind of anti-biotics or the pill won't work.

It's the same, just take at the same time everyday. Plus, if your going out of town on your "off" week, you can just go straight to the next pack and skip your period!
