I have always assumed that race was determined by the father so if the father was black... Then u would be black... but another friend told her she was considered white, because her mom was eurpoean... I know it doesnt matter what race soemone is and they can just click OTHER... But I am really just curious... What parent determines your ethnicity?

That whole "race is determined by the mother or father" bit is ridiculous and people don't follow that in the least, usually. To answer the question, she's racially mixed, African-American, a person of color--all three at the same time, because Black Americans are a wide variety of shades and mixtures, and people of mixed blood have always been a part of the community.
