Somehow I feel Bush has nothing to do with this..he is just the guy that takes the heat. I think its way deeper than the President. But no...I havent read of anyone who has done this bad. If anything, the first Presidents worked to build the nation and its neutrality and somehow, its not that simple anymore. I'm sure we'll be a third world country one day soon.

So what makes an economy? The flow of money

JOB Just Over Broke
It's the way of life.

Now as soon as 9/11 happened. Government had to bail out insurance companies and air plane companies. The government had no choice. Insurance can't do it's job in the times it's most needed. People would be better off being self bonded. But then that makes savings a problem to the economy.

Now the housing market can probably be tied into back lash from the slump after 9/11,.. or even the forein markets slump (world economy). People maxed out their credit,.. then as soon as slightly hard times rolled around, they instantly dug a hole that they couldn't get out of.

Now Jobs are suffering in House material stores, and construction. All because the economy was at an artifically high level from clinton. Where did he get the money to lower the national debt? Spending your money faster then you can get it. I think it's a way to trick the economy,.. spending money that really isn't there.

........
Now throw in gas problems raising prices. Hurrican damage. Wild fires above average. It's all because we were living on credit. We weren't prepaired. Even corperations are living in debt.

But what do I know. I didn't go to school for this. If you had any integrety, you'd ask someone who has,.. and add education to the over-opinionated public.

oh, so you mean liberating an oppressed nation, killing/capturing religious fundamentalists, keeping joblessness lower than ever, keeping taxes from increasing at the hands of liberals, protecting our soldiers overseas, working with congress to actually have a balanced budget for the first time in a loooong time, having a strong economy (even though everyone was predicting a sluggish Christmas season and it's up 5% from last year), record highs in the stock market, etc etc etc etc... and doing all this while the entire democratic party and liberal media downplay and demonize eveything the man does??? i think he's done pretty well aside from the amnesty fiasco that was quickly doused by public concern... besides, how and by what proof, do you feel that the greatest nation on earth has completely gone down the drain as you've eloquently described??? because of foreign opinion?? lol. other countries dislike us for being great.. it's easy to target the best.. if anyone is to blame for screwing up, it's the far left wackos and their "new world" theology... we've gotten away from our morals a little bit, but with people like Bush out there, we can keep those people.. *cough* liberals... from getting too out of hand and turning us all into a bunch of teddy bears living in a glass house smelling our own farts....

Carter wasn't bad??? lol, just talk to people who actually remember the crap that went on during his administration. and if that weren't enough, he's going to every corner of the world bad-mouthing HIS president.. he's the new Hanoi Jane.. you just dont undermine your country.. and you especially don't pull crap like he does outside our borders.. you wanna have an opinion? fine.. but, don't be in that position of power in other parts of the world talking trash about your government... gives people the wrong idea... same problem i had with the Ditzie Chicks doing what they did...

Honestly & without any party bias, I can not think of any president who has done more to erode world respect, credibility, & confidence in the USA.
US bashing is nothing new , but this time we deserve it.
Thanks to GWB.

Ah yes more constructive thoughts. Well done you deserve a round of applause for that thought out question. Did it take you a while and more than one outline to put it together?
BTW
I don't like Bush either.

Really a Canadian offering us criticism? Maybe he ought to look after his own house first. People can barely afford to eat in Canada right now.

Yes. FDR was the worst.

At noon on the 4th of March, 1933, FDR, with his hand on the Bible took an oath to preserve Protect and defend the Constitution of the U.S. At mid-night on the 5th of March, 1933, he confiscated the property of American citizens. He took the currency of the United States off the gold standard of value. He repudiated the internal debt of the Government to its own citizens. He destroyed the value of the American dollar. He released, or endeavored to release, the Fed from their contractual liability to redeem Fed currency in gold or lawful money on a parity with gold.

"best nation" In what way?

You're the best at invading other counties based on lies, comitting mass murder, torture and gang rape.

What else are you the best at? Can't really think of anything.

You're certainly waaaaaaaay behind the rest of the world on basic human rights issues.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that our country, that I am proud to be a part of, has gone down the drain and become so vile. It sounds like you are believing what Osama wants you to.
Well, good luck, because I love my country, and I'll just have to let you love Osama and the boys by yourself.
