My favorite toy to play with as a child was my penis. Nothing has changed.
Real answer: my 8 yr old son told me the other night he wants to become an engineer. I guess he got it from playing Roller Coaster Tycoon were you build your own rides.

I was all about the action figures. I loved the idea of having action figures of characters from my favorite cartoon shows or whatever and being able to make my own stories and fights and stuff happen with them.
As for my career, I've always been creative and always was into drawing and so I always knew I was gonna go to college for art and get a job as some kind of artist. Well... I did all that up to the point of earning my BFA. But then it turns out I can't get a job as an artist to save my life. So I basically have no career at the moment. I am currently going back to school to study law.

I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up and I'm 31, LOL. I was always envious of those who knew at a young age what they wanted to do & then did it.
My favorite class in school was English.
I hated History at the time but love it now.
NO math here.
I grew up in the country w/ 2 brothers. My favorite toys were my bike, trampoline, and basketball.
I work as a supplies attendant for a major communications company and am a mommy.

I spent a lot of time outside climbing trees and playing make believe, played with dolls, barbies, lincoln logs, fisher price barn and accessories etc. Once I learned to read, I spent a lot of time reading and still do.
My favorite classes in school were history and history (except American history)
I am a small business owner and my main job at my business is to pay the bills (oh joy) and put out fires no one else wants to handle.
I see a bigger connection to the fact that my Dad was a small business owner and stepmom worked with him than any toy I ever played with. I felt that history was impractical in real world application and it remains an interest, not a job.

I played with pieces of coconut tree leaf stems mostly, cut in to various shapes, resembling farm animals. Older family members made these for us kids and I lived in a large family with more than 16 members residing in one house.
I have masters in engineering, did some research as well but didnt make it to PhD. Software programing and system design used to be my major job till 3 yrs ago. Now a days I work for the government and design minor harbors and ports (mathematical and physical model studies, layout, Environmental Impact Assessments, structural design, rate analysis, tendering everything).
I have worked in the Middle East and the USA and now I live in India, where I was born and raised.

Im in college. Freshmen, studying business but not really sure yet.
When I was a kid, I usually played outside and ran around with neighborhood kids...not much with toys. Some of the toys I had were a tomagochi, yak bak, and i have a lot of dolls and board games (candyland!)

GI Joes, play guns, bows and arrows, football, soccer, lots of hide-n-go-seek, hunting games, bike jumping, bike racing, skateboards, fishing, tons of hiking and exploring.
Now I'm in sales, still play soccer and run and bike and do a little archery.
But you know what's funny? Despite all the gun play and war games back then, today I wouldn't kill anything bigger than a fly unless my life (or the lives of those I care for) depended on it.
I don't know if I see any connection there other than we weed through experiences as kids that help focus us as adults.
That and most of that stuff involved socialization and problem solving - and burning the TONS of energy I used to have...

Very intruiging question since when I was a kid I always loved erector sets and lincoln logs, that sort of thing and now I'm in heavy industrial construction. Primarily fossil and nuclear energy generation. There may be a coorelation.

Stereotypically feminine: Barbies, dolls, Beanie Babies
Stereotypically masculine: remote control and Matchbox cars, legos, video games
Gender neutral: coloring books, lots of books; I collected Goosebumps books, board games
I study English with a concentration in linguistics, and I am either going to get my master's in Library Science or I'll go to law school.
