My husband has hidden all scissors and cutting implements so I cannot do a self haircut. He said: "I don't know where they are, and neither do you, and it's going to stay that way. If you're going to get a haircut, why do you need to cut it yourself?" :D Does he care what I look like, or does he just want me not to make myself look like a punk and get fired and have no money for him? Oh, he also said: "I have a razor. Do you want to just shave it all off?"
Have a great day, guys! I'm going to go find something else to do and not notice how nothing I do matters (if it's for home.)

It's called he thinks you should go to a professional that you cutting your own hair is pathetic and cheap looking and he wants you to look nice. He doesn't want a wife that looks like the bride of Frankenstein.
So really go all out hit the salon and spa get a facial, manicure, haircut and style, pedicure and hey why not get a massage while you at it.

Compromise with him. Agree to get it cut professionally so that it looks like you're super polished and career-like, and then keep up the trimming yourself for a month or two before getting back to the hairstylists. He obviously does not mind if you use a little money for this. I think he does care what you look like because he does love you.
