Gold is light & the tablets would have to be too big to weigh the amount Joseph smith said they weighed. Every one would have seen the tablets if they were written on real gold.

After all the angel 'MoronI' is the angel that presented them. 'Moron' means 'foolish' (or make foolish) in Greek.

Also, is written that God will make foolish the wisdom of the world. Because they praise God but their heart isn't restored to God. And the worlds wisdom counts foolish the work done on the cross.

Don't you see one of God's word plays in the foundation of the Mormon religion?

I don't think it would be possible to make metallic plates from fool's gold. It is true that the plates were not made of gold. That's why they're "golden plates" (golden the color), not "gold plates." In a recent Ensign article, the Church explained this common misconception. They were probably made from some gold-colored metallic alloy.

Most Mormons now don't believe that the plates were solid gold, but an alloy that looked gold.

Gold is light???????

Gold is very heavy. Fools gold (pyrite) would be lighter than real gold and would fracture easily. It is extremely unlikely that the tablets would have been fools gold.
