It did for me. I was quite a negative person and never really knew that about myself back then; I was young and thought that the world owned me something. In my mid-20's I ended up in the ER and I died three times before they finally stabilized me. Now my outlook on life is a lot better; I don't let the little things bother me because they are not that important. When you finally realize how precious life really is you tend to enjoy it a lot more.

Yes it does. Now you know for certain that there is a spirit world and an afterlife. You think less of the scientific world and its ability to solve mankinds problems. You look more at the spiritual world and forgiveness and sin. Life actually makes more sense cause you know there is justice in the end if not here. And you know that there is a God that can at any time take anyones life but he is patient with us. He has a record of every thing everyone had done and is merciful at the same time.

coming face-to-face with one's mortality can change your overall perspective on life and what is important to you ... if these things change, your reactions to many events and everyday situations are also likely to change ... altogether, the result is "changing a person's life"

it has never happened to me but, years ago they had on 60 minutes a segment on it. there was a man that claimed before he had major surgery, that he led a very bad life; drinking ,drugging, abused his wife and children. anyway he said that during surgery i guess his heart stopped, and during this satan came to him. he said he was so afraid, and saw visions of hell, and all the others suffering in hell. he said next he's waking in recovery. he told his wife what he saw, crying and told her that satan was so ugly, that he promised her that he would change his life, everything, because he said he never wanted to see satan or hell ever again. sure hope he's still changed.
