im 36 weeks pregnant today and ive been noticing that lately ive been feeling like somethings been leaking out, i always thought it was discharge but theres a number of times i go to look and its wet a little on the panty liner but theres no color to it which is different from my discharge. i dont think its urine because it doesnt smell like anything most of the time then sometimes it jus smells sweet but could be from the sented liner. i dont know im only 18 and this is my first baby. what should i do? has this happend to anyone before?

The same thing happened to me at 36 weeks and it was my water breaking and I didn't know it. Call your doctor immediately. They will have you go in to be checked out because it may be amniotic fluid leaking or if your water has broken the risk of infection is great and they want you to go in right away. Don't be nervous or scared. You and your baby are going to be just fine but please call your doctors office right away so that they can tell you exactly what to do.

Call your doctor. They will probably want to see you to determine if this is amniotic fluid or just regular vaginal fluid. Since it is a weekday and they should be open, I would recommend trying to get into the office as soon as possible so that you don't have to go to the hospital in the middle of the night. If there is any chance that your water has broken at this point, ad you aren't sure, then you should go in and be seen. If your water broke, they are going to want to deliver the baby within the next day or so to prevent infection. Only like 10% of women have their water break with a gush, so it could very possibly just be dribbling out and you want to get this checked out promptly. Good luck!!!

I would go on into the hospital. I was 18 also when I had my daughter and the same thing happened to me. I called my doctor and he said there was nothing to worry about and if I was in labor I would know it. Well I went to the hospital anyways and sure enough it was amniotic fluid and I was in labor. Go on in you might be just leaking urine but it's better save then sorry!

Honey, I've had 3 babies and that last month there will be things coming out of you that you've never dreamed possbile. I wouldn't worry at all. The best thing you can do to set your mind at ease is call your doctor. Right now. That is what he is paid to do. Tell the nurse what you are doing and they may want to have you come in just to check to see if maybe your water has broken but the babies head is blocking it from all coming out at once. That happend to me on my 2nd baby. Still, nothing to be worried about. Your getting down to the last days and there will be all kinds of things that will make you worry. But just remember, the baby will come when it's time and when it is time, you will know without a doubt. CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!!! He'll put your mind at ease.

I have this happening to me too. If they are lil small drops then i think its just your baby sitting on your bladder and it makes you leak drops but if you can tell you wet you panty liner a lot more than a few drops combined than you might be leaking amniotic fluid. I would ask the doc. i had this question too and i just realized it was me leaking urine due to the pressure on my bladder.

i had the same thing happen when i was preg with my first baby. it was clear no small and would sometimes go through my pants. but it wasnt pee. so i wen tto the doc. they kept me 4 hours ran ridiculous tests and did a pap and everthing and said it was discharge and thats it. all that suffering in the hospital for nothing. if it has a sweet smell or color then go to the doc. it might be fluid from the baby. the doc can reach in and feel and look to see if you are ruptured.

I would call your doc asap. it sounds like your water broke, high instead of low. when it breaks low, it's a big gush of fluid. when it breaks high, then certain movements cause a little to leak out here and there. You could always stand on your head for a minute, and see what happens when you stand back up... JUST KIDDING! Call your doctor and see if they can get you in to be checked. You don't want to be walking around with your water broken, you can get bacteria in there, and that's terrible for you and baby. Best of luck.

First of all, you're only 18 years old and you're just another baby HAVING a baby. This is an endless cycle that will never end and will forever continue!

OK, if you're 36 weeks and leaking, that means you're nine months pregnant so you're due any day. My advice: Count your blessings and wait for the baby to come out and don't worry about the leaking. Everything will be OK. You're gonna forget all about it when you're holding your baby in your arms for the first time.

Why don't you go to the hospital and get evaluated. They have a test which will tell them if you are leaking amniotic fluid. I think that you are fine, it just might be time to have the baby, and the only way you will find out is if you go to the hospital.

You are leaking amniotic fluid. You need to see your doctor ASAP because not only could you go into labor at anytime, but a tear in the membranes (which is what happend) can let in bacteria that can harm your baby. Your doctor will most likely induce labor since you are almost at term. Please call now.
