somebody i todays age that shares the similar caracteristics (todays hero)

Notice that all the very heroic men/women that are viewed as being "larger than life" are those from the past?! That's because their deeds are told and retold over and over and over (get the point) again so much so that everything is embellished. Little details get amended making the hero/heroine sound a little better. Add a few years of doing this, and you get almost a demi-god. Quite natural. But because of this, I'm sure there wouldn't be anyone in this day and age that can measure up to the heroes of old. After a few decades, sure, but not now. I believe that while Beowulf was honored and respected as a great king and warrior, he probably wasn't regarded as he is now.

very good question i have been thinking about that there was Beowulf William Wallace and many other great men of myth and legend in modern time or more narrowly in American history i have not come up with a single person who could compare to either the closest i guess for what he did and the story's we are tought in school Abraham Lincoln he was a big man commanding voice and he brought the country together ended slavery
