I think by firing Peddie that it is the only way that this team will make any changes.

if anyone read the sports section of the Toronto Star, there was an article that contained some words from Peddie saying that he had no influence in the choices JFJ has made during his GM run. While he probably thought this would take heat off of him and onto JFJ, i feel it did the opposite. This makes it seem like he could care less what happens to the team, as long as they make money, even if he sees a mistake being made by the GM. There certainly is fault on JFJ's shoulders, but Peddie hired him and if he stays and JFJ goes, who knows if he will make the right pick for GM next time around

There is no doubt Peddie needs to be taken out of the team picture, however, I doubt that will happen all together. I can see MLSE reducing his role with team operations as they did with the Raptors.
Ferguson on the other hand, is on his last leg. Not exactly a news flash here. One name I would like to see given some consideration for the job is former Blue Jays GM Paul Beeston and combining his ability with a hockey guy that can evaluate talent. Beeston could also be a credible replacement for Peddie as CEO for MLSE. Will not happen but ....
