ok the dr's told me my due date was January 12,2008...I go for a ultrasound they tell me No my dr. is wrong my due date is Feb.26,2008....now this is like a whole month and a half difference....so according to my last period my due date would be January..but the dr.'s are saying I had a miscarriage because i had light spotting towrads the last week of may...and got pregnant again b4 i could get a real period if this was the case i conceived June 5th...wtf is going on and can someone help!!!

yet...the dr. says that the things im feeling i shouldnt be this early....like i was catching braxton hicks contractions at at 20 weeks and Im starting to gain weight extremly fast...im out of breath and the vomitting is comming back...

i have had another ultrasound since and they told me the sex of my baby and said hes growing really fast to be only 20 weeks(at the time)

Wow! It must be hard to get used to the new due date! It makes sense that you may have miscarried and gotten pregnant again before you knew anything was going on...but what are the chances! Still, I would go by what your ultra sound shows and just enjoy a little extra time being pregnant!

That doesn't make any sense. I think you would have know if you were having a miscarriage as light spotting is common and a miscarriage is heavy bleeding. It sounds like they messed up and are trying to cover their tracks. Did you have an ultrasound at the beginning of this pregnancy? If not they would have based your due date on the last day of your last period. Which can be inaccurate. They estimated my due date at Jan. 21st, but after an ultrasound moved my due date back three weeks to Feb. 9th. I would consider getting a second opinion as the scenario that they are describing seems highly unlikely. Plus you should be being monitored weekly to make sure that the baby is growing properly in the womb, which would explain the due date difference. Good Luck!

That is really confusing and frustrating! The ultrasound would be the best way to know the age and size of the baby. Did you ask if they are positive that the medical files were not mixed up with anyone else's? I think you need to have another ultrasound because a month and a half is too much of a gap for a due date. Ask your doctor about this and tell him you are concerned because you are afraid the baby is either really small or you are having contractions to early or whatever. Best of luck, I can only imagine how frustrated you are!!

I think it's more likely that your first due date is right. It's really unlikely you had a miscarriage and got pregnant before your next period and didn't even notice anything. Light spotting doesn't sound like miscarriage to me. If it was clotty and spotting and turned into a period, that sounds more like a miscarriage. I think you should talk to your doctor about this more. This just doesn't sound right. Ultrasounds late in pregnancy are not as accurate at predicting your due date. Early ultrasounds are fairly accurate.

yes ur 27 weeks which is 7 months, im due on 29th febuary 08 and im 26 wks nearly 27 its not to far apart but get ready in january just incase goodluck congrats xx

An ultrasound really is the best way to determine your babys week/age.
Ask for another one to confirm

wow.. that sucks... how did they come to this conclusion this couldnt be the first ultrasound they have done, i mean i am 22 weeks due april 1 and i had my biophysical 4 weeks ago???

blood test & ultrasounds are the best way to go to figure out ur due date.
i kno its upsetting but just appreciate ur healthy baby

trust your obgyn. they wont lie to you. they did an ultrasound to confirm correct . i had something similar happen. no period in may no period in june found out i was pregnant june 26th i had in in february 3 week early according to my obs figures he was 6lbs trust your ob mine was right i was wrong
