I think that Alexander Emmanuel jr. is a beautiful name. Will you call him Alex, Xander, or Andy for short? I would use something different that the papa.

But I really do like the name. It's classic, and I like that you're keeping with tradition. Great choice.

I think it is very sophisticated!! Very nice!

However in my opinion, I would keep the first name the same as the father and then change the middle name. So he isn't a Jr. but he has his own middle name.
Or make his middle name Alexander.

I think it is insanely conceited to name a child after yourself, or in this case, the baby's father. Find something original and meaningful. Not that that name isn't meaningful, but it belongs to his father.
My step-dad is a Jr. and people get him and his dad mixed up all the friggin' time. Save your son the hassle, and give him a unique name.
As an alternative, maybe reserve his middle name for something related to dear old Dad. That way, there is some freedom in his own name, and yet, some honor in carrying the name of his father. You see?

How about a strong Biblical name like:
David, Paul, James, Matthew, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Seth, Noah, Timothy, etc?
