I listened to a news story this morning that isn't unique but continues to baffle me . Apparently 2 guys on a motorcycle crashed and died after fleeing police . As a result the locals in that neighborhood are rioting and protesting . Now we've all heard similar stories in recent years . . . . . Somebody breaks the law - Flees - The police pursue in an attempt to make an arrest - And sometimes the offenders crash injuring themselves and others . . . . .So why the riots - Why protest ?
Not very long ago people would've said 'Too bad, they shouldn't have broke the law , and they shouldn't have run' . Their injuries are their fault. . . nobody elses .
So how did some people's politics evolve to this point ?
And why oh why does this always seem to happen in Democratic areas .. . . almost, if not exclusively in Democratic areas ?

This incident did happen in France . But that does not negate the FACT that it often happens here too . It also does not negate the fact that it always happens in Democratic areas . ALWAYS .

I heard about this too, but it was in France.
You do realize that France isn't part of the United States, right?
OK, let me help....get a map, look for the United States, when you find it, to the right is all this blue stuff, that's the Atlantic Ocean...keep going to the right....up a bit, there...that's Europe...no, no, higher, that's Africa. You see Spain, the UK, France..there you go. Hope that helps!

Police officers are so careful when engaging in a pursuit too (usually). They'd prefer not to have to chase anyone, but some people are stupid. Those people should protest running from the police in motorcycles, not police officers doing their jobs. What are the police supposed to do, let them go because it's dangerous and they don't want to be involved? It's entirely the fault of the motorcyclists.
It does seem to happen in Democratic areas, I've noticed a pattern where many of them have no concept of personal responsibility, everything they want to do is their right, and everything bad that happens to them is someone else's fault.

They were probably kids that weren`t allowed to be spanked for disobeying common sense rules of civilization while growing up in a politically correct , and socialist world ! One would expect nothing less from a socialist society that has changed the meanings of crimes such as murder , robbery , and in general the breaking of all laws to be less shocking. In this world of P C , responsibility for your own actions is not recognized to be an acceptable rule for "subjects`" under control of "The Village Leaders"

How dense can people be? It can't just be naivete because you passed that luxury back in the 60's when there were still some decent people left.Your only hope is for you or your friends and relatives be a victim of police brutality over and over again until you come to the belief that they are all bad. When are Americans going to realize that there are two different worlds going on in their own country? Maybe when you get to the point of only the very rich being able to be safe and healthy. Stick with Bush and you will be there sooner than you think.

Were they Black? I've never heard of Whites rioting in the streets because to criminals died in a police chase. However, since Blacks still consider themselves victims of authority, particularly police and particularly Whitey, naturally they'd riot. To them it's an injustice that these two Black criminals are dead, regardless of the fact that they brought it on themselves. Moreover, these riots tend to hurt no one but themselves, yet they will be instructed by the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons of this world that Whitey is behind it all along to keep them down. Sad really.
If it did happen in France, France IS a Democratic Republic like the US. It's particularly sad that this sort of victimization has spread throughout the world.

The morality of America is in serious jeopardy...PC is a big offender. So many people demanding a nanny state...individual responsibility is under attack....We must demand an end to the stupidity and the judges who defend it...then maybe we can get back to being a reasonable society.

It was a good question until you said it happened mostly in Democratic areas with nothing to back it up. I watch cops all the time, and they are usually in NC and SC, hardly Democratic areas.

The word 'victim' comes dancing into my head. Some folks, some segments of the American population have been convinced over the decades that they are victims, which is really sad since it saps individuals within this segment of their drive, initiative, confidence, self respect and personal responsibility. But you see, for others in our society, that's a good thing. Creating dependency gives them power. It's really a rather chilling evolution and motive.
