Coco Crisp and Eric Gagne for David Wright, Jose Reyes, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez, Johan Santana and Ichiro Suzuki?
Yes Yankee fans, this is how stupid you sound with your trade proposals.

Some people here wouldn't do that deal if you had to throw in Hughes, Kennedy, or Joba.

lets not get carried away, you might have to throw in julio lugo to grease the wheels on that: crisp, gagne for wright, reyes, pujols, A-Wad(no that wasnt an accident), santana, Ichiro deal. but if we throw in lugo we also want ryan howard, carl crawford and miguel tejada

Excuse me? Coco Crisp is arguably the best player of all time, and Gange the best pitcher. Isn't Crisp's batting average .507? Has Gagne never given up a run in his entire career? I think with those two players, they could get Jake Peavy AND Russell Martin!

This is extremely funny, and the funny part is that G-Mack took this seriously. Now I agree that Yankee fans have been a little bit like this, but lighten up, you over exaggerated it and it hasn't been that bad.
And no I don't think that trade would go through to the Mets, Cardinals, Yankees, Twins and Mariners. =]

Fans have no idea what the trade might be because there are almost no rules in the CBA for baseball. Basketball is very restrictive and there are few substantial trades that will both work financially and make sense in terms of value. And it is almost impossible to trade under the salary cap in football. You can throw anything out there for baseball, so people lose perspective on what would actually make sense.

Good question - this one actually made me laugh.
I agree, Yankees fans are definitely.....um, let's say overly optimistic about what price Santana will command.
By the way, I love that someone answered this question seriously. You'll have to make sure to include "sarcasm" quotes or something next time.

Yes. I completely AGREE! Like the Yankees will get Santana for a $1.50 and 3 aging veterans like Mike Mussina or something. If the Yankees get Santana, they will take a huge hit in their youth department. It's not going to be for a Dollar Dome Dog like most Yankees fans think.

While I agree the trade proposals that some people are throwing out there are ridiculous to say the least, I think you are exaggerating a little bit too much...by the way...thanks for making me defend Yankee fans.

yankees fans do come up with some stupid trade ideas dont they? it seems sometimes the yanks are just as bad as the giants, spending gargantuan amounts on over the hill players, like giambi, posada, damon and rivera
