I hope that it is the Angels, because I am sick of the Yankees and Bosox getting all of the best available players.

I would actually think the Yankees have the better prospects to offer the Twin instead of the Angels. I think if the Angels wanted him, they would have come up with a deal already for him, rather than trying to sign Hunter first. The Yankees right now are talking to the Twins about a scenario that would include Kennedy, Melky, and Bronson Sardinha and some minor league prospects. I think the Yanks will some how get this deal done sometime within the next 2 weeks.

I hope the Yankees get him and give away all their best prospects again. Santana is declining, not as dominant as he once was. Yankees make bad decisions like with Kevin Brown, Carl Pavano, Randy Johnson, and no show post season guy Arod. I hope the Red Sox pass on this one.

The Yankees are offering Phil Huges and Melky Cabrea to the Twins for Santana.... Stienbrenner and company said that they will not trade either one of these players unless they are assured that he will sign a long term contract....It is rumored that he will want a larger deal along the lines of what Zito got from the Giants which is 126 million.....Santana has a full no trade clause in his current contract so the decision in his to make...I hope he would come to NY he would be a great addition to the rotation....

it's the Yankees - I'd be shocked if they didn't. They have the young guys (Hughes, Joba, Kennedy, Melky, Cano, Duncan) to move and the wallet to extend Johan.

the Sox won't overpay for a lefty - even one as great as Johan; and the Angels confuse me - how do you pay $18m per year for Torii Hunter - for 5 years no less. I don't think they are a serious player in this.

I could see the Mets getting involved - but it would cost them Wright or Reyes at the least.

There are others involved as well, the Dodgers would be willing to include Kemp and other young players for Santana. It is going to come down to which team is willing to offer the best young prospects for the best pitcher in the game.

The Yankees will. The Yankees have alot of cash to burn and they eat up free agents like hungry, hungry hippos. They also really need pitching and will pay whatever it takes to sign Johan.
