Well if it's time for you to shave then just go ahead and talk to your Dad about it. He'll know if it really is, or if you just want to shave because all your friends do.

You shouldn't feel embarassed about it, it's normal and happens to all young boys. Having said that i didn't ask my Dad, he just said to me one day "You ned to shave that stupid fluffy moustache off."

There's absloutely nothing to be embarrassed about. Ask your dad. I'm sure he'll be delighted to show you how.
Check out this guide to shaving. It show you how to wet shave properly:

This video was made by an old guy, but hey, he's been shaving longer than most of the people here:

I will warn you, though. Shaving loses its novelty appeal very quickly. I find it a chore, to be honest. Go for a good shaver like the gillette mach 3 range. And take your time. Don't rush your first shave.

Good luck.

You shouldn't be embarrassed.I have a 13yr old son and he came to me last week about shaving.Talk to your Dad because you need to be shown how to shave properly otherwise you'll end up with razor burn if you're using an electric razor or cutting your face to shreds if you're going to wet shave

Nothing to be embarrassed by all men shave at some point - its something to be proud of, you're becoming a man! Speak to your dad and ask for advice from him. It'd probably be easier to start with an electric/battery operated one as they aren't as sharp.

They are your parents! What do you think your dad did? I know one thing, he couldn't put a question on the internet ;-)

He will probably be glad that you asked. That's what he is there for.
If you get disposable razers don't get 'cheap' ones, they will tear your face to bits and give you major razer burn. If it says sensitive on the label go for them. The easy option, get an electric / rechargeable shaver.
Good luck!

No need to feel embarrassed, ask your old man (Dad) it's considered a right of passage for a father to show his boy how to shave.

Uh...we are talking about shaving your face/beard, right?.....LOL!

you can buy them yourself. get one of those inexpensive disposable ones. but there is no reason to be embarrassed. every young man needs to start shaving at some time and it will not come to any surprise to you dad or your mom.
