Republicans are not the silent majority. Conservatives are. Far more people are actually much more Conservative than they realize. Often categorizing themselves as Independents or Moderates, if you go point by point with them regarding their core beliefs, most are Conservative, however, they have accepted the Liberal definition of Conservative and know that they are not that way.
