The tire treads on the bottom of kids socks in the shape of an alligator head?
They came out around the time when people just started freaking out about child safety products... when everything was still made with lead paint and it was still okay to give little boys guns and little girls cooking sets.

Don't remember actual alligator socks but I have ones with doggy & kitty paws on them! And yeah that was the good ol' days. LoL O=)

Yes, I do. I still have a pair! They are worn, and washed, and faded, and they barely keep my toes warm, but I love them. Always have. I wish they would come out again. Do you know where I can find them?
