I went to the Disneyland in Florida. It wasn't for me. The whole thing of queueing, great big Pluto's and Mickeys everywhere and being ushered around was nauseating.
We also went to Universal and I loved it.
I've always been a fan of the Disney features, not so much the Mickey Mouse thing, call me a humbug, but after an hour I couldn't get out quick enough.

I've been to Disney World in FL and Disneyland in California, and didn't enjoy either. I think they let too many people in to the park - way too crowded. Also, there are always a lot of people there from other countries who suddenly don't speak English when you try to keep them from cutting in line (but then they speak it perfectly when they're buying souveniers later).
I find that the regular theme parks and amusement parks are way more fun because they have better and more exciting rides and much less hoopla.
HOWEVER, I do think it's something that every kid should do once. I just dread when it's my kid's turn.

The disneyland in California is bomb! I really got close to my family. I've also been to disney world in Florida. That was even more bomb! They had more then one park. A water park, an animal park, and a park with all of the rides! It was the best! =]

Well, I have been to Disney World (Florida) and it was okay, lotsa long lines and people and so so food. I thought it was overrated, maybe the Disney cruise would be better or Disney/Universal.
I actually love Busch Garden's; Olde Country. Better rides, faster lines and really really good food. We even look forward to the various shows they have there.
Plus the extra added bonus of Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown.

Went to Disneyland Hong Kong, bet you weren't aware there was one !The place is built on reclaimed land. Not my cup of tea, Blackpool pleasure beach is a good deal bigger a few hours nearer (if in UK ) and will cost significantly less to get to and "enjoy" the attractions.

sure, they may be fun and all but it is not worth the wait. there are long lines and you get really hot and sweaty. even if you have a fast pass for a ride you can only use it in a certain time slot. if youre living in america and you have been planning this for a long time, sure, go ahead and go. if youre living in some other country, its just a waste of time and money. plus the rides dont even last that long.

We went to the one in California and although we aren't really crazy about Disney it was absolutely fantastic. We went slightly out of season so it wasn't too busy and although we had to queue a bit for the more popular rides that didn't spoil the visit. We would certainly go again :o)
