I'm going to be the house manager of my sorority house next year (just like an RA of a dorm). We have chores once a week and girls don't do them. How can I make people to their chores? Punishments? Rewards? How can I make chores more fun? Any other ways of doing chores? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Rewards, like a point system, get enough points, you get a giftcard to a nice restaurant or someplace like that. Also having music on while doing really awful chores helps a lot.

Tell them that if they don't do their chores you will post a listing about them being smelly slobs on Facebook.
I'm sorry that they're making you work as an RA for a sorority house. Best of luck to you, hopefully you can switch to a non-Greek dorm.

If I am correct, you did say YOUR SORORITY HOUSE, correct?? If so, then why must they put you through all this, having to seek advice externally, when the sorority bond you ladies have should be the strongest and maybe the best there is. You should approach them on that note and ask them why did they join, to make their sisters life harder??? They need to be sat down and made to remember that they took vows and they should live by them and assist you-their fellow soror,their sister, their friend- not make your job harder. I really hope that works!

If a person doesn't preform her chores, expel her from living at the house. It's that simple. Forget about rewards, "Nobody is going to pin a red rose on you for doing your job."

Have a general meeting and get the members of the Sorority propose and vote on proper punishments. This way, you have them on board.
