On some level, yes, but I think most men are gradually warming to the idea. Others would prefer to see us all back at home so they can be superior again. It won't happen.

Even though you've probably explained to her how much it hurts you when she does that, it might be that she's doing these things without knowing how much she's hurting your self-esteem. She probably just sees them as words and might assume that you think nothing of it later on. I think your best bet is to go to therapy alone to work through the main issues. They can give you methods in which to deal with the hurtful things that are being said. Of course, you could both benefit from seeing a therapist together, but first I think you need to work on yourself. You have to find that confidence in yourself again and then it will be easier to deal with things in the future. If you try to work things out with her at this minute, you'll still feel low about yourself. I don't think you should have to feel bad about yourself in order to be in a relationship. I'm glad that she's being kinder to you know, but that doesn't solve the underlying problem of your self-esteem. Good luck!

I agree with Jim, if the female is qualified and a respectful colleague, then why do I care what gender the person is. I've had plenty of female superiors.

No, most men have no issues with a qualified female colleague at a higher level. We just get tired of if we disagree with her. Women state that men are just afraid of strong women. Incompetent bosses come from both genders, but men are attacked if we question an incompetent female boss.

I have no problem with it. Just as one said stop the chest pounding. Women have allot to be prude of. That is good but they don't need to drive it through there male counterparts like a spike.

I think it depends on how old the men are. older men that were men 20-plus years ago were used to a world where women were not in positions of power like they are now so it might be hard for them to adjust.
younger men that were still boys 20 years ago have grown up in a world where women have had all kinds of jobs and have been in positions of power and so it seems normal to them.

No.. men are just tired of all the female chest pounding. We have ears to listen and eyes to see... we don't need you to tell us what women have accomplished.. we really don't care to be honest. Just enjoy your success and stop trying to belittle men and make it seem like we are afraid or threatened by you.
Its your own insecurity that makes you think men give a crap.
