There is no one pain that's far greater than any. People have different pain tolerances. For example, I'm more tolerant to physical pain. I shudder at the thought of going unloved and unknown. My brother, however, considers this "whimp," and not real pain. He's completely happy being alone. His worst pain seems to be physical, after I kick his *** for calling me a whimp.
So, to answer your question, there is no one set pain that is dominate. Different actions have different reactions based on the subject in question.

I was going to say labour pain, but that passes. The strongest pain is despair, because it seems like it'll never end.

Emotional: Pain of separation from your loved ones.
Physical: The worst I have endured was my tooth ache. I was up the whole night waiting for the sun to show up so I could visit my dentist...Even the labour pains were more fruitful in comparison.

Knowing things are screwed up and it's your fault.
Heartbreak sucks, and so does a death in the family but both pains are lessened in time. Knowing you screwed something up irreparably (be it a relationship, your life, someone else's life, your job, etc.) will hurt forever. I think that's because the last person we ever forgive is ourselves and guilt can be tremendously painful.

Physically, bone pain is supposed to be the worst.
But, I think psychological or spiritual pain can far surpass physical pain. Pain is different for everybody else, too, so there's really no way to compare one's to another's.

Id say labour pain, you think you can handle it and its mind over matter, until you get to the final stages of labour !!!!, but its too late to say " I've changed my mind".... But out of that agony comes the best reward of all....... and its all forgotten the next day, and 12 months later you are ready to get pregnant again !....well, some of us....

The answer to this can only be answered by the person feeling the pain. What is debilitating to one can be handled by another.
