I've got an '88 chevy silverado, standard cab longbox. I have a brand new bed for it that needs to be put on. I've been told there's 4 bolts that hold on the bed, but I think they were thinking of the older model silverados. I looked under the bed, and I can find 6 that look like they hold it on. I was curious if anyone knew exactly how many are holding it on. Thank you!

THERE ARE A TOTAL OF 8 BODY BOLTS ON THAT SPECIFIC BED. 2 IN FRONT OF WHEEL WELL AND 2 BEHIND THE WHEEL WELL ON EACH SIDE FOR A TOTAL OF 8. THERE ARE ALSO 2 INSULATORS THAT CUSHION THE BED ON EACH SIDE SO THE BED WONT RATTLE ON THE CHASSIS (TOTAL OF 4 INSULATORS). I WOULD SUGGEST REPLACING THESE AS WELL SINCE THEY ARE RUBBER AND DO BREAK OVER TIME. THE BOLTS (PART#15016879) ARE $3.44 EACH. THE INSULATORS (PART#15756599) ARE $6.29 EACH. BOTH CAN BE SPECIAL ORDERED FROM GM STILL AT YOUR LOCAL GM DEALER. HOPE THIS HELPS.

you get the odometer...take down the milage, then the subsequent time you get gas, write down how lots you acquire...then subtract the milage you have while the tank is empty to while the tank became finished. you're taking the odometer interpreting and divide that into the milage...then you quite've your answer. (yet i might say around approximately 10-12 mpg...with the age, length engine and the way lots the truck weighs.)
