Still not enough, in my opinion. You're getting the best pitcher in baseball, so you're going to be dealing top prospects.

I really think they'll be asking for at least two of the top guys like Kennedy/Hughes, not lesser prospects like Sanchez or Ohlendorf. The Yankees can't be cheap here, or they'll lose him to another team.

Great for the Yankees. A disaster for the Twins. I know you're looking at the world through Yankee pinstripes but you know this is wishful thinking at best.

The Twins are going to want a hell of a lot more than that to get the best pitcher in baseball. (Sorry Indian and Red Sox fans but Santana IS the best pitcher out there).

The Yankees have the trading material. The question is, are they willing to part with some great young talent in order to get Santana?

you really live in a fantasy world. if you were the twins would you even consider that crap trade? If I'm the Twins and I don't hear either Joba or Hughes in the first sentence, I hang up the phone.

it's not bad enough that a yankee fan could even consider this a fair trade for the best pitcher in MLB; but I see someone UNWILLING to part with Ohlendorf!! Oh my God! you are insane. Do you know who Johan Santana is?

at the very minimum, the Yankees will have to give up at least one (if not 2) of the following: Joba, Hughes, Kennedy and at least one of the following: Melky, Cano

I would do it. Anything to get Santana while keeping Phil, Joba and Ian with Cano. Melky is a good player, but not a great one.

Cano could be the next .330, 30 HR , 120 RBI guy. You don't want to give him up.

The thing though, is that the Twins won't do it.

Its gonna take a package with Melky, Hughes and or Kennedy and or Joba to get Santana.

They are going to want Kennedy, Hughes or Chamberlain as part of a package. Santana may be the only player I'd trade one of those guys for.

No way! Those three guys don't even equal half of Johan Santana! Don't get your hopes up because that trade is definitely not happening!

Not enough right now, that might get it done at the trade deadline next year but not today, get rid of Olendorf from the list and add Hughes or Kennedy and you may have barely enough...Sanchez may not be that appealing though. you are getting one of the top three pitchers today you have to give up something to get something!

That'd be a steal for us, but I don't want to part ways with Ohlendorf. He can help save our bullpen. He's a much better alternative in our pen than Farnsworth, Bruney and Henn combined.

Carnac, the starting pitching isn't gonna mean jack **** when the bullpen gives up 5 runs in the final 3 innings. I'd rather have solid starting pitching and a decent bullpen instead of great starting pitching and a crappy bullpen.

hell no! Joba, Hughes, or Kennedy has to be in the trade
plus Melky
plus another position player
plus any other good, young Minor Leaguer
