I'm really a lefty, but there are somethings that I have to do right-handed, like how I use my computer mouse, play putt-putt golf, softball or use a can opener. I write well enough w/ my right hand also. (You know what they call a right-hander who's had to switch to using the left hand? "Artificially intelligent." Or was that a blonde who's dyed her hair brunette? I forgot.)

I too am a lefty, but I'd sacrifice my right arm to BE ambidextrous!!!

I am but I think I got it by default.. I play piano and if you know anything about music... its the second hardest instrument in the world to play..
I think its becuase of having 2 different cleffs and staffs to read .. while your middle finger with the left hand is playing 16th notes on d, b, c, a, a#
your right hand might have to play chords that are half notes..
besides that I can write with either hand but I prefer my right hand...

No, not really. I am right handed, but there are certain things I'm more comfortable doing with my left hand, like using a cup and driving. It's not ambidextrous, cuz I drive better with my left hand, not with my left and right equally.

Okay, I'm not totally ambidextrous because I can't write at all with my right hand. Or use a knife... scary! I write, pour, cut etc with my left hand and I throw and shoot with my right hand. Yes, shoot. Don't ask, friend.
