This is the best picture i could get without my fish trying to get their photo taken. There was this horrible huge stringy thing, over a meter long wrapped around ornaments in my fish tank. Some of the worm like thing is pink and the rest is clear like a transparent tube. As i said it was huge, i cleared it out and the next day there was a new one attached to the filter (picture below) I have a feeling it's coming from my leopard plec. It doesn't look anything like fish waste and i've never seen waste as long as this was. If anyone knows what this is or sounds like please let me know. Thank you very much :)

i would say to take it and put in it a plastic baggie. and take it to a fish store.they may be able to help. and let them know all the fish you have in your tank. hope it helps.

My fish had something like that before, are any of them pregnant? When mine was getting ready to deliever a big long thing like that was hanging out of her (and she was no bigger than a goldfish) and it was like 8 inches long. I never figured out what it really was but, I have seen it a couple of times. Maybe it is like poo? Or it is something to do with birthing? Hope that helps (I don't think that it is alive)

Looks like fishie poops. They are stringy, long, and coral pink colored cause of the ingredience in the fish food. Which contains krill, shrimp, and other stuff.

it could be some sort of parasite. i would look it up on a website to see if there is something that looks like this and to treat it. you can always go to the store and ask for help that way. just dont wait too long because if it spreads all your fish will die.

I am not sure, maybe you should look it up on Google. In the picture it looks like string. I know it isn't, but I can't really tell what it is.

It looks the same as my plec's poo. it doesn't always look like this, only occasionally and I don't know why.
