Having sex with someone who takes drugs should not affect you physically.
Having sex with your boyfriend and without a condom can do other (just as nasty) harm to you physically.
You could be opening yourself up to all sorts of stds including chlamidia, which you might not realise you have, until you try to start a family. If the infection is not picked up and treated early, it can cause infertility. Another worry is aids and you really don't want that!
If at some point you become a user too and you become pregnant, your baby will be born addicted and need specialised nursing care.

Coke can be smoked, snorted or injected, is dangerous and unlawful, as you know. Not heard of drug passing to partner during sex. The worry is:

(1) How far will your boyfriend go/What would he do to get his drugs. Can you trust that he only has sex with you, especially when he's high and may lack his usual control?
(2) You could be open to getting STDs, HIV and AIDS.
(3) "Cocaine appears in the semen and may reduce the number of sperm or increase the number of abnormal sperm. This can result in fertility problems. Cocaine binds to sperm. Authors of one study suggested that delivery of
cocaine by the sperm to the egg might be associated with developmental problems." (taken from http://www.otispregnancy.org/pdf/cocaine.pdf).

Make sure you are not drawn into taking drugs too.

I have lovely friend after many years become addicted to drugs, takes crack cocaine (with 2 bouts of giving up), and recently diagnosed with aggressive brain tumour. It's not easy seeing person go deeper into drugs and its knock-on effects. It affects family/friends deeply - you will be affected. Would advise if he's unwilling to give up, consider you make painful break now. All the best to you both.

First of all I love when people put drugs and recreation in the first sentence. You must have some low self esteem to even put yourself in a situation with someone who cares so little about himself. So what is to make you think he will care about your health or well-being when he doesn't care about himself? It's called a condom and you should always use one because you can catch STD's-drug use or not. You really should have more respect for yourself and maybe think about being with someone who will do the same.

No. None of the drugs can transfer from his system to yours. I know you dont care but honestly, you don't think you can do better than a coke-addicted pill-popper? Or at least stop being so selfish and help him? The man is destroying himself right in front of you and you do nothing! Thats sick.

Anyways, good luck with your perfect example of prince charming-I hope you dont get an STD or a mutated baby!

I don't know of his drug use affecting you in that way. I know that if he smokes around you, you could get high from the fumes. The problem is that when people use drugs, they tend to get careless and expose themselves to all sorts of other unhealthy behaviors. For example, if he shares a marijuana (joint) or crack pipe with someone who has a contagious disease, he could ingest their saliva, contract the ailment and pass it on to you. When people get high, they often also have sex indiscriminately since the drugs loosen them. I think what you should be worrying about is whether you want to live your life with someone who has this nasty addiction and whether it will eventually seduce you into the lifestyle as well. "Birds of a feather flock together," so be very careful.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
