She's certainly the Candidate Republicans want. They've been Campaigning against her for 15 years now and it's a hard habit to break. And she does benefit from Americans' nostaglia for Peace, Prosperity and Fiscal Responsibility--things that the GOP doesn't believe in anymore.

But, her lock on the Black Vote is fading now that Obama is starting to take some stands. She polls best against Republican candidates, but may not win the nomination. It's too early to tell. And, at the rate the Beloved Leader is sabotaging his own party, it's a safe bet that the next President won't be GOP.

For that matter, on the three issues that matter most to voters, the Economy, the wars, and Immigration--the GOP has been shooting themselves in the foot on full automatic. It's obvious that they can't even tell when they're lying any more. But, increasingly, the Public can.

There's really no such thing as a Liberal Media, but these guys are making Wall Street nervous, and that's starting to slant the news against them. Plus, it's starting to look like a lot of Fundies are going to sit 2008 out.

So, at present, it's even money on whether the next prez will be Hillary. But it's close to a sure thing that, assuming Elections aren't suspended, that the next President WILL be a Democrat.

I am not convinced.
A little less than half the population support the GOP. A little less then half the democrats support Hillary. But the election hasn't begun yet. Hillary is a viable candidate and she has a lot of support but she also has a lot of baggage that the other democrats don't want to sink to exploiting since as a vice president she would be an asset. They don't want to totally destroy her. The republicans will have no qualms about attacking her in every way possible but they wont unless or until she is nominated. So for now the smarter republicans are quietly supporting her by claiming she is their greatest threat.
Ever here the story of Brer Rabbit and the briar patch? Its the same concept. Of the democratic hopefuls, Hillary is the one the Republicans already have plenty of ammo to attack. So she is their least threat.
Since they think they can beat her they work towards getting her nominated. So the result is about 3/4s of America is supporting Hillary for the moment. If she gets nominated then that drops dramatically. It might drop to as little as 30%.

She may surprise me. Shes a clever lady and she has gobs of cash for the election but right now she is being intentionally over hyped by the other side. I am not at all certain that the Democrats have figured this out. It shouldn't be hard considering more people then they have in their party are claiming she is a shoe in.

Incorrect. I do not personally know anyone who will vote for Hillary. I hope she doesn't become president. I just can't help remember the shady issues from her past. In Arkansas when her husband was governor, her issues at the law firm where she worked, her extremely questionable gains in the futures market, her Whitewater Development issues, mysterious deaths surrounding her and her husband -wayyyy too many to be a coincidence. I fully realize that chances are there isn't a 100% clean-history, honest politician....but the Clintons are the first people I think when I think of shady in the category of current major politicians.
Just too slick, too evasive, too much in her past that leaves questions unanswered. Just my opinion.

And remember, Bill Clinton outright lied to us live on tv about his sexual affair with an intern. He was such a disappointment as a president. I, for one, am a US citizen that still expects higher standards from a President than from lower-level elected officials. Just way too much questionable stuff related to the Clintons.
I don't know where you obtained your info stating that most Americans would like to see Hillary Clinton as president but that is incorrect as far as I can tell.

Why is this a question for Americans? Without necessarily liking it the American choice has global implications and we Europeans have frequently been dismayed by the people who have come to the top of the pile. Why not be represented by someone capable of respect outside your country, which to the rest of the world frequently looks narrow and self-absorbed? Being represented by a woman would also help to make you look more 21st century.

Hillary wont become President. If Obama or Edwards cant beat her, the Republican candidate will. I hope she doesnt become Pres because of her views on just about everything. She prefers socialism, which is not a good thing becuase not only does it take economic freedoms away from the people, it isnt economically efficient. She cant make up her mind on the war and Im sure foriegn policy in general. if we were attacked, I cant honestly say Hillary would do her best to take out the attackers. Her views on abortion are also disgusting.

My personal favorite is Huckabee. He is gaining momentum because of his views and honesty. I think he is the best candidate we have to date.

Don't listen to all the people saying bad things about the GOP. The GOP base is very loyal and they will take the White House and Congress in 2008. The nation has taken steps back from the 'golden years' of 2000-2006 under GOP rule.

As for the Presidency, I think Fred Thompson looks like a great President.

*YOU need to do a few things before voting.

1. Create a list of things that you think are most important.
2. Check & see if those items are constituitional. Remove the ones that are not.
3. Consolidate & Refine the things you think are most important.
4. Visit one of the many sites that allow you to see candidates voting records.
5. Make a top 10, and slowly narrow it down.
6. Ignore what other people think. Who knows where they get their opinion from.
7. If you dont want to do this, dont vote.

For me, my guide to picking a presidental candidate, was the Bill Of Rights. Freedom & Liberty, freedom of speech, right to bear arms, non interventionism, small government, elimination of illegal unconstitutional government programs, and states rights.

This is inaccurate. While Mrs. Clinton is the frontrunner in the national Democratic polls, she is on the downswing. By the time the general election rolls around she may not have any momentum.

Hillary is absolutely going to be the next President. The other side cannot win. Hillary is all there is.

God bless us, she is all there is. Best hope she is really a good woman deep down inside.

You are wrong, Hillary is falling like a rock and may not even get the Democratic nomination. She is a fatally flawed candidate and even the Dems are starting to bail her. Her negatives are over 50%.
