What a sweet question. Slow down and think happy thoughts!
I have many happy moments everyday. One that stands out though is the night before last, my 8 year old son was swinging his sword (watching his moves in a mirror) and accidentally struck his 11 year old sister with it. She yelped and began to cry. He immediately dropped the sword, checked her for damage while apologizing and trying to comfort her. He then ran for an ice pack and gently applied it to her welt. He hugged her, kissed her and held the ice on until she recovered.
Now, in the past, my son has run away, put himself to bed or just hide and cried whenever he has caused injury to another. This was the first time he has taken the proper steps to make the injured party (and himself) feel better.
When he was bringing the icepack back into the kitchen, his eyes were brimming with held back tears, I gave him a big hug and told him how proud I was of him for taking care of his sister and making everything all better. He looked at me a moment, then smiled, everything was okay.
My little guy has grown, in a good way. That is an extreme happy feeling!

This question made me realize that I have no idea when I was last extremely happy. That is really sad to admit. A couple years ago my sisters and mom through a surprise party for me, just the 5 of us. That made me really happy.

Last night, when my husband got home from work ... and just now, when he kissed me goodbye. We had a really good laugh last night, though, too ... I'd bought four cans (each a different flavor) of Roca candies when I went to the grocery store yesterday. He'd bought candy when he snuck downtown at lunchtime to look for Christmas gifts for me. We ate a bit of both as our dessert last night, and laughed at our both getting candy on the same day, at the same time ... but we are both Virgo, and we do 'weird stuff' like that all the time.

Just a few minutes ago. My grandson, Andy, who is 14 months was playing with a battery operated snow globe that I bought for him. Every time it would play music he would look at me and his eyes would light up and he would dance and bounce around. Also my husband got up early so he could spend some time with me before he goes to work. That made me very happy.

My hubby and son make me happy every day, but I was especially happy last Friday night, when I opened up what I THOUGHT was an anniversary card from my hubby -- it was our passports and tickets for a 7 day Caribbean cruise! It was wonderful!!!

My girlfriend from my college days WAY back in 1977!
She made me happy just by sharing her life with me!
No other person or event has come even close!
Ah, what high standards we poor mortals set for ourselves! ;)
