in a couple of weeks and I want to do something special for my 65th birthday. What is your dream birthday or yoour very favorite birthday memory? One of my favorites was my last one, I spent the day in the hospital with my husband, waiting for a grandson to be born, on my birthday!

Congrats on such a wonderful present as a grandson, that would be hard to top! My dream birthday would be for my family to be together for a long weekend getaway. It could be in the mts or at the beach, just as long as they were there. If you can't do this, maybe you and your husband could take a short getaway to somewhere you'll always wanted to go. Or do something you'll always wanted to do and never got around to it. Have a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

How wonderful that had to have been for you. Well there's no
way you can top that heighth of exhileration ever again. What
could top the standard fare of maybe dinner out somewhere
and even a present maybe.
I will have my 65 next September. It would be ideal if I could
go to stay overnight at the beach. But that is always a choice
I have for Christmas, and New Years Eve, and I have yet to
make it. A friend, goes every Christmas as a gift from her
SIL. And he also pays for a companion for her as well. I think
that's pretty special.
I love the ocean air, and I always come home feeling better
than when I left. There's something about that salt air that
helps me to breathe better and I can inhale deeply again.
And I always have an appetite when I'm at the beach also.
I would also like to take a trip for a few hours on a paddle
wheel boat on a sight seeing trip. Or a surry ride in a park.
Those would be special treats, and maybe something you
might like to do.
Or a champagne breakfast or brunch at a great buffet on the waterfront, where you'd get crab and some other specialties.
Anything that wouldn't be run of the mill. Maybe there is
a special Christmas program you could get tickets for. Say
for an ice skating show, or a Christmas Chorale. There are
so many I see listed in my area in the weeks ahead. I've al-
ways wanted to take a sleigh ride also. I've always wanted
to see what that feels like. Not that I'd like being out in the
cold, but it would be a pretty special event, in itself.
Well I hope I may have given you some ideas for a perfect game plan here. I hope you will end up having the time of your life. Kiss that little one for me, will ya? I haven't held a baby in 14 years. :)

Usually try to go fishing on my birthday with family and a picnic lunch, the special ones are when the fish are biting -- my 65th is coming up also, but it's really nothing super to me other than Medicare kicking in. Maybe a cookout and some suds ?

Congratulations Isadora on the birth of your Grandson.
My 60th birthday was just another day, I went shopping at the local co-op and, unbeknown to me , my 3 Children, spouses and 8 Grandchildren were in the same car park, at the same time, blowing up balloons to surprise me at my house.
When they got there, I was out and when I came home, from the co-op, I opened the door and THEY WERE ALL THERE! It was all Happy birthday to you and I cried!

Unquestionably the most memorable birthday I ever marked was when I turned 31 - holding my one-day-old daughter Angela.

As for something nifty for you to do on your birthday .... hmmmm ... well, Jack Lalanne used to mark his birthday by swimming - clenching between his teeth a rope attached to as many rowboats as the number of years for that birthday ... since you're a master garener and into polishing your own gem stones, maybe you could celebrate by finishing some kind of jeweled flower or lovely plant with as many leaves or petals as your count of years ... and then go out dancing to show it off!

In India, after a certain age majority of Indians do not celebrate their birthdays.Only birthdays of childrens are celebrated. For me a birthday means coming closer to your end, hence I do not like to celebrate such occaisions. However, the best thing I would recommend to you is recollect everything that has happened to you, in your life. And analyse things again.Learn, not to commit mistakes made by you and rejoice your glorious moments.Share your experiences, with some one who cares.Thank god for the time he has given you.And last but not the least-Happy Birthday to you.

Have a great day! One of my most memorable birthdays was my 44th birthday. At that time all of my children still lived at home. We had just moved into our new home, my children were all about to leave the nest and I was very happy with my husband. It was a great time.

I've always loved the birthdays with no plans. Just a day to do what I feel at the time I feel it.
One time, I just got up packed a overnight bag and told my boys to do the same, then we got in the car and I drove until I felt like stopping.... my day is in sept. so it is still warm then... we stopped at the lake and camped for three days. It was great.
Happy B-Day to you!
