The Democratic Congress will not let this happen. Bush only had authority from Congress for Iraq. If he tries something like try to sneak us into a war with Iran behind Congress's back, not only should he be impeached, but I believe he should be put in jail. I would agree to that sentence being commuted if he were to pay back the money
he connived out of Innocent taxpayers.

Are you all mad! the police action (war) in Iraq is going very badly, Afghanistan is by on means settled, and you are already sending conscript troops to those zones. NATO has started to fall apart. So you think that an invasion of Iran and war against Russia is doable. Most, if not all, of Europe will sit back on and leave you to it!
So the question is can you win this, you really think so, you and whose Army.
But on that point don't forget Hu's Army!
Hey 'Home-School' when you say quickly do you mean like in Iraq. 2 months give or take a year or 7!!!!
Oil, oil always oil, oil do Dis, oil do dat!
Sorry but it's not just oil were talking about here and anyway a reorganistion of ecomonomy and social habits with good planning and investment and humanity will not need oil! I know it sounds like a Dream!
You look at what is and ask why, I dream of what has never been and say why not!

Never. Diplomacy has been working. Putin is working on his puppet government and possibly taking us back to Cold War status. Iran has deep set internal issues of control beyond the extremists. The Supreme Leader is in charge. President of Iran is technically #3. But Putin & Amaddinjacket have formed some bonds that deserve close attention. War with Iran shall not be a good idea. Just pray it never comes to that.

Both countries want world dominance. The US has it. Our economy will bounce back after what will be the 2008 recession. If we had to go to war with Iran to protect our interests as well as Iraq and Israel and it meant warring with Russia then that's what it takes.

I'm not in favor to go to war with any country regardless what country. However evil and criminal duo of Bush and Cheney and evil Republican Neocons will support any war against oil reach country without realizing that it might involve other superpowers such as Russia and/or China. Numerous useful idiots will support any war as long as they can watch same on TV and to provide their blind and ignorant support to their criminal leaders just because they are their leaders.

nicely this might probrably ensue sometime interior the subsequent 4 years, yet confident by using fact Iran is starting to be an arab u . s . a . that's starting to be too effective, plus purely the Russian Federation helps Iran. the individuals's Republic of China is probrably final independent for this one. yet u . s . a . is unlikely in on my own. The United countries is going in as nicely. by using fact the United countries forbids Iran to construct Nuclear weapons. by using fact interior the previous 2 years the United countries advised Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to end construction it is nuclear weapons. He has no longer yet spoke back to the call for from the U. S. the full United countries is going interior the conflict against Iran So this might probrably be a bloody conflict yet u.s. as standard will murge up sucessful.

Yes. in my opinion Russia wants the oil produced by Iran. If we go to war with Iran, we will do it quickly, knock out the leadership, and Russia will move in to "stabilize the area." They will get the oil and we will get less terrorist interference with Iraq. I believe that's how the scenario will work. I'm not so sure it's not already in the works. Russia won't have to compete for Iranian oil with China. I believe Russia is ready to build a bigger empire. The United states never has asked for more land than was needed to bury the dead who died defending the freedom of others. All the USA is asking, at this point, is for the leadership of countries to assist in eliminating terrorists and not to fund terrorism.

I am not in favor of a war with Iran or Russia.
I am in favor of sanctions against Iran as long as thye pursue nuclear weapons. (And verifiable sanctions, not like the frequently violated UN sanctions). Even if Iran develops a nuclear weapon, I am not in favor of attacking them.
I think it is preferable to stay with the "mutually assured destruction" policy that we used during the Cold War. I would also make it clear that the policy would also extend to an attack on Israel.
In the meantime, I think the peace process that Bush has started is a step in the right direction. By getting Syria involved in the negotiations, it is hopefully a step in isolating Iran.
