I work with a lady that is a Morman and she is intent on voting for Marie Osmond with a passion. Now I have not missed one minute of DWTS since the first show. I love it. I am so annoyed at the Osmond family and the Mormon's push to get Marie to win. She is not a dancer and I don't even think she is that good of a Mormon considering all her divorces etc. Granted she has tried to be entertaining, but she does not come up to the effort and results of most the the other contestants. I can’t stand watching her at all. The self promotion and brother Donny’s apperances on all the other shows is not fair to any of the other dancers.

I hope the show continues for a very long time, but do not let this change to paid votes, and let it be about the wonderful dancing. Not voting for your religious role model spokesperson!

Mel and Maks should win!

Marie is 48 years old but acts like she's 16. Too bad she can't dance better.

I think that is EXACTLY what is going on !
And it that doesn't scare you enough they actually have someone running for President of the United States , Mitt Romney.
And you guessed it the Osmond's are campaigning trying to drum up VOTES for him !

And it is not fair that Donny has been on Entertainment Tonight every night promoting Marie.

I voted for Marie, too, until the finals. I'm not Mormon; I'm just an Osmond fan. When I felt like she shouldn't go on then I stopped voting for her. That family has been performing for 50 years! They have accumulated a lot of fans over that time. Just because you don't like them doesn't mean you should make it personal. Donny being a special correspondent for those shows shouldn't have had any bearing on her votes. I
don't think he would be unfair to the other dancers just because Marie is his sister. My husband told me last night that Donny said Marie was the weakest dancer. I thought Mel and Max should have won, too, but I think some of you put too much importance on a television show and I also think there are a lot of mean spirited people out there.

I agree that Marie is not the most deserving dancer to win but the show isn't based on talent alone. If it was then the public would not be allowed to vote, it would be left only to the judges.
I watched one of those entertainment news shows, last night, and the Chairman or President of The Children's Miracle Network charities did an interview concerning Marie Osmond. He said that in their weekly email, that goes out to millions, they remind people to vote for Marie because she is one of their spokespersons and has done a lot for the charity. That email can then get forwarded to countless others building her fanbase. He even stated that until DWTS changes their rules they (the charity) will continue to send the emails because its a popularity contest.
To sum it up, that's exactly what he said. Marie Osmond and her family have been around for years and have done their sugary best at being wholesome. Their fanbase is close to untouchable.
We all can only hope the best dancers win.

I don't think anyone is pushing her to do anything she doesn't want to do. I would imagine, tho, that there are an awful lot of Mormons voting for her and I think she's very happy about that. And personally, what I've seen, I think she's as good as anyone.

As far as her not being a good Mormon because of her divorces, it takes two to make a marriage. Her husbands were both at fault, if I'm not mistaken, and she was perfectly justified in what she did. I know people who know the family and what she's had to endure, she's got my complete admiration!

Uh uh. I'm for Helio and Julieann. Seriously. a lot of mormons and Osmonds probably are voting for her, but she has a huge fan base that goes back many years. And even though she isn't technically as good as Mel or Helio, she is a consummate performer with immense stage presence. This has been a weird year, though. When Sabrina got voted off, I threw up my hands and gave up trying to guess who'd win and who'd lose.

Sabrina and Jennie were far better than Marie also. I think Marie is very entertaining, but she should have been voted off two episodes ago. I like the lady, and think she is one of our best 40-something icons, but she does not deserve to win.

Mel is pretty darn good, but I like Helio best and so does my wife.

If Marie wins, it will certainly be a controversial one.

I am sick of the "osmonds" that other show Donny is on does only favor marie. but mormons breed like crazy and they probably all vote thier brains out for her. she doesn't deserve to win, that was so arrogant of her to "sass" the judges, it's their opinion, she can be gracious even if she doesnt agree.

I love DWTS too!

I so totally agree. I can't stand her either. She is so fake!! And she definitely cannot dance. She might of lost some weight but heck she needed to. I guess we will find out soon who will win. I like Helio!! I think he has come a long way. Mel and Maks are very good as well though.

One I'd be surprised if she did win. Her performance was off last night. However, you must realize is that she's an icon for many years. And that also helps her. In addition, sure her fellow Mormons are helping her to win, why wouldn't they? Wouldn't your family help you?
