2yr old dab cd pld 20cds stpd playing.it reads cd spins but no music good make hitachi?

As stated above, Hitachi DAB Radio &CD Player. Have checked the leads, radio works fine. CD player reads the discs and spins around, but that's all! Any ideas or suggestions?

All CD players consist of a transport (which spins the disc) and a digital to analogue converter or DAC (which turns the 1's and 0's into music).

It sounds like the DAC in your player has failed. In all honesty, getting a replacement DAC will probably be more difficult and more expensive than getting a new system.
